NC Space Grant Offering Two Pre-Symposium Presentation Workshops
In conjunction with the North Carolina Water Resources Research Institute (WRRI), NCSU Libraries’ Data and Visualization Services, and the NC State Department of Marine Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, NC Space Grant will be offering a workshop and webinar for those interested in learning about effective presentation skills. The in-person workshop and webinar precede our April 4 – 5 SPACE Symposium and are geared toward those planning to present their work at the symposium.
TIPS AND TOOLS FOR EFFECTIVE VISUALIZATION, DESIGN AND COMMUNICATION OF YOUR RESEARCH
- Webinar: Feb. 18, 2019, 9 AM – 10:30 AM
- In-Person: Feb. 20, 2019, 9 AM – 12 PM, Game Lab, Third Floor, Room 3201, James B. Hunt Library, NC State University Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC
Both events are free, but registration is requested to aid in planning. Space is limited; register soon.
Designed for students, but open to faculty and professionals, this workshop emphasizes effective visualization, design and communication of your research. We’ll focus primarily on poster presentations, but content will apply to both poster and oral presentations at conferences.
Have a poster draft or maps, graphs, flow charts and other visual representations of your research? Receive advice and feedback on your own work in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere by submitting your poster to workshop live! We’ll review submissions as a group, considering design elements discussed in the first half of the workshop.
