Fellow’s Study Finds Spreading Ghost Forests on NC Coast May Contribute to Climate Change

A new study has found the spread of ghost forests across a coastal region of North Carolina may have implications for global warming.
Stephanie Smith, a 2015 NC Space Grant scholar, now works at United Launch Alliance (ULA), the NASA commercial partner that provided the Atlas V rocket, which launched the Perseverance rover on its mission to Mars on July 30, 2020.
