2020 NC Space Symposium Canceled

We are excited to offer a virtual symposium for 2021! The 2021 Space Symposium will take place April 16 from 1-5 pm (Eastern). Please stay tuned for registration information.

A message from our director:

Greetings NC Space Grant Community,

In light of NC State University’s announcement today of new policies, NC Space Grant is canceling the 2020 NC Space Symposium that had been set for April 2-3 in Raleigh. To encourage social distancing, “effective immediately and until further notice, NC State is prohibiting on-campus events, meetings and gatherings of more than 100 people.” Other actions announced by NC State are available online at ncsu.edu.

We are not able to reschedule at this time because of the symposium’s heavy focus on student research. However, we are excited to host our next symposium in 2021. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the speakers, session planners, sponsors, guests and volunteers who worked so diligently to prepare such useful and innovative content for this event.

This unprecedented action for our team has resulted in varied logistical requirements beyond this announcement. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we develop a comprehensive update regarding registrations that have already been made.

If you have further questions, contact Jobi Cook at jobi_cook@ncsu.edu.

Thank you also for your ongoing interest in the NC Space Symposium and we hope to see you soon.

Best regards,

Susan White, Director, and the NC Space Grant team
