North Carolina Space Grant presents its new groups of Minority Serving Institution (MSI) STEM Bridge Scholars and MSI STEM Pathways Scholars. In total, 20 distinguished students will explore and cultivate knowledge about NASA and related STEM — science, technology, engineering and math — opportunities.

Students from across the state are invited to present their research findings at the North Carolina Space Symposium: Explore Earth and Beyond, to be held in Raleigh on March 22, 2024 by North Carolina Space Grant. Students must submit their NASA- or STEM-related research abstracts by the deadline, January 26, 2024, to present a poster.

Students on the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) Rocket Team, a multi-year awardee of North Carolina Space Grant’s Team Experience and Competition Award, are making their mark in rocket launching competitions. For the first time, team members won prestigious awards at two events in one year: the First Nations Launch and the NASA Student Launch Challenge.

The North Carolina Space Grant 2024 Faculty Research Grant is now accepting proposals to develop new National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) related research projects or to pursue new research directions that meaningfully engage students. The deadline for proposals is November 30, 2023
North Carolina Space Grant’s Team Competition and Experience Grant Program is accepting applications until Friday, October 13, 2023.
Students at eligible Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) can now apply to two MSI scholarships, the MSI STEM Pathways Scholarship and the MSI STEM Bridge Scholarship. Applications are being accepted until Monday, October 16, 2023.
Future STEM teachers can apply to North Carolina Space Grant’s STEM Pre-Service Teacher Education Scholarship now until Monday, October 16, 2023.
