Applications Open for Sea to Stars Fellowship

North Carolina’s Space Grant and Sea Grant programs are currently accepting applications for Graduate Research Fellowships for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two fellowships of up to $10,000 may be awarded to students whose projects address a priority research need within the state’s nearshore environments, coastal areas, watersheds or human activities in these areas.

North Carolina Space Grant Selects 2024-2025 Graduate Research Fellows

North Carolina Space Grant congratulates its 2024-2025 graduate research fellows. Twenty three graduate students will conduct science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) research to benefit NASA, commercial space or the International Space Station. Students’ projects will investigate STEM topics such as carbon storage, microgravity, and black hole exploration.

North Carolina Space Grant and North Carolina Sea Grant are offering a joint funding opportunity for graduate student interdisciplinary research. Full-time graduate students at colleges and universities in North Carolina are eligible to apply for the $10,000 award. Applications are due April 8, 2024.
